We have an exciting announcement. Holii & Ash are looking to expand our team. 

Holii & Ash (formerly known as In The Wilds Of Someplace) was established in 2016 as a wedding photography company in the Great Southern. Since then we have added videography to our services and captured over 150 weddings across Western Australia and a destination weddings in Croatia, Mexico, Exmouth and Portugal. We are passionate about people and inspired by elegance and beauty. Currently our team is made up of Holii Carmody and Ashleigh Needs (photographers, videographers and best friends) as well as Meghan Tharratt (photographer and videographer) and we are looking for a budding freelance photographer or videographer to represent our brand.

Position overview:

We are seeking a hobby photographer or videographer who is eager to learn. Must enjoy interacting with people, does not need wedding experience or post production experience (editing, administration). The contractor will be given paid, industry experience working alongside and learning from us.

Requirements:

• Based in the Perth
• Valid drivers licence and reliable car
• Sole trader ABN
• Weekend availability for photographing weddings
• A natural eye or gift in photography
• Interest in weddings, and photography / videography
• Organised and detail-oriented
• Eager to learn, serve, and grow
• Confident and enjoys being around and meeting new people
• A great work ethic–you can solve problems responsibly, independently, and efficiently
• Friendly, social person, excited to work in a team
• Familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest)
• Bonuses: Familiarity or experience with videography; experience shooting in manual mode

• This is a paid opportunity that is compatible with another part-time or full-time job
• You do not need to own your own photography equipment, but it is a bonus if you do
• We are not in a rush, so if we don’t find the right fit for the team we will continue interviewing
• You will be trained to shoot like Holii & Ash but still have creative freedom and your own personal style
• There is an opportunity to become an employee of Holii & Ash and undertake more work and responsibility than contracted associate shooting in the future.
